overpopulation and lack of potable water

Overpopulation and lack of potable water have been the two most pressing problems for the whole world for a long time.  I know there’re personal issues that seem much more important to the average citizen but many of those issues are caused by these two problems.

I’ll bet you thought it was greed or racism.  Oh, Ok.

You got me there.

They do have a lot to do with many of our problems, but population and water will overtake them too.

Well, I think our present government has found an answer for the first one.  If you are overpopulated just kill more people.

So simple yet, so effective.  I’m surprised that they haven’t bragged about finding the solution to this problem.  Perhaps they are a little reticent because it has been tried before and not readily accepted by the masses.

True, there has always been resistance to this solution.  Something about God and lack of volunteers.  But they have found a way to work into it that everyone can appreciate.  Maybe not right away but knowing human nature, we will come around.

They have been very subtle.  I mean, who doesn’t want to stop drug smugglers.  So, you start with blowing up motorboats with highly sophisticated drones and camouflaged planes.  Not only is it video game cool, but very macho also.   At first, that seemed like over kill, but it was just practice for the next step.

You remove an unpopular country leader.

The trick is you leave the regime in power so they can continue to kill folks just like before.

If that works, you just wait a little bit and move on to the next country. Say an unpopular one on the other side of the globe.

Now, to keep folks on your side, you only kill people that fit a certain definition.  Not-like-Us is  good and easily understood.  US being a catch word that can be refined as time passes and acceptance grows.  “US” can be based on anything.  If successful, the “US” finally becomes whatever your close friends and advisors say it is.

Here’s where things get a little complicated.  It becomes difficult to feel secure and nervous at the same time.  The realization that the “IN” group keeps getting smaller and the “OUT” group continues to expand can cause anxiety.  I think we can all agree that, no matter what, we will always be in the ”IN” group.  Even if we’ve never been allowed “IN” before.

Remember middle school! Our leaders do.

Oh Oh!  Who did I piss off back then?

Anyway, what’s to worry about.  We have a constitution.  We have rights.  We live in a country where everyone is welcome. You know, “Your tired, your hungry, your poor etc.” Well, maybe not all of the sleepy, ravenous underprivileged, or, as we call them, homeless.

Also, We aren’t too happy with some of the relatives of the original folks.  They feel that we have overstayed the relatively generous welcome their ancestors gave to our ancestors.

I guess we would be ok with actual slaves of any color except affluent white.  No tinting. We’re not a paint store.

I’m sure we would be down with a new bracero agreement with Mexico.  Sorry, some of you will need to look that one up.

But no worries, all of us Anglo-Saxons will be fine.  Well, most of us.  Remember!

 No tinting!

Plus,  there’re some people we just don’t like.  History shows that eventually all those people  wind up in detention.

See! I told you that middle school thing would come back to haunt you.

Now you’re probably saying to yourself, “What about my rights.”

Don’t worry.  Don’t worry. There’re still there.

Aaaah, It does kind‘a depend on where ICE is on any given day.  And.......There may be a little snag with who you love, what faith you rely on, and if you want to vote, but hey, potAto/potato.

It’s no big deal!

Don’t worry about IT!
