P- If you're waiting for a politician to change your life, you really don't understand how all this works. Unless there's an elected position out there that only requires one vote, no government job at any level, is just aimed at fixing your life.
At the smallest level of government there are usually several people served by any elected officer. Even if you live in a community of ten there will be someone unhappy with any decision at any given time. So, if you extrapolate out to 340,000.000 (give or take) all living in 50 different geographic entities, you should be able to comprehend that individual personal issues are not what elected folks deal with. And, of course, only being human, they have their own issues to deal with.
Some of them want the power.
Some just want to get rich.
Some just need a job.
Some think their God should be charge.
Some just want people to pay attention to them.
Some of them want to help people as much as they can.
Naaa. I'm just kidding about that last group. It's not that some don't start by wanting to help others, they just can't do that without collaboration. Hard to get! In the end we just elect to many con artists. They rarely collaborate. Let's face it, we elect the last person that told us they would fix our life. Reference the opening line above.
M- Do we really want to make America great again? To do that, we must admit that we're not great.
I'm just not ready to do that.
What country is stronger, richer, and able to scare the rest of the world at the drop of a tariff.
What nation at the present can just kill people when and wherever they want.
Okay, Okay; I know Iran, Russia, China, North Korea, Sudan, and any good cartel can do that too, but still, we're the only one that can pretend that it's really good for all involved. After all, there aren't many countries that have a WAR department that's capable of sinking outboard motorboats.
This was all predicated on the idea of stopping drug smuggling in the Caribbean Islands. I know they said these guys were headed for the USA but, let's face it, these boats were lucky if they had the fuel to get back home from a short fishing trip.
Plus, the idea of stopping drug smuggling, well; Prohibition comes to mind.
Kind 'a reminds me of the old saw, "don't get between a dog and his bone." It's very similar to telling your daughter you don't like her boyfriend. You usually wind up with a son-in-law you don't like and a daughter that won't talk to you.
Instead of illegal immigrants who just want to do our menials jobs and pay taxes with no benefits, perhaps we should just deport all the drug users to the cartel of their choice.
Or just shoot them, and not regular citizens exercising their constitutional rights.
Just say'n.
E- This Jeffery Epstein thing has gotten way out of hand. Gosh, I hope I spelled his name right. I wouldn't want to offend anyone.
However, I really don't get it. Why not just put it all out there and move on. It's not as if the rich and famous are going to behave any differently.
There must be other Islands they can buy.
The Republican party, (You know; The one that stands for family values and includes the Christian Nationalists.) They support some of these guys. I'm sure they will take swift action.
Don't you worry. These folks will pay for their disgusting lifestyle.
Naaa. Just kidding. Reference the first paragraph above.
Politicians just take care of themselves mostly.
Hey, if you can vote a rapist into office what could possibly go wrong.
If all the people helping to run the government have more money than God, I can see why they were voted in and everybody's happy.
Speaking of God, if you still think these elected officials care what he thinks, you definitely have the right government for you.
